Hello! My friend directed me to this group, and I'm a decently open-minded person. I've got my biases just like everyone else, but, I'm not like hugely biased about anything or would shun a group of people...etc. Anyway, I'm Roman Catholic baptized...and I want a religion that I guess helps me in a way, instead of shunning me, or using scare tactics. So, here I am. Now, my first concern is that demons are bad. I have that set in my head, and I mean my friend told me that they had a conversation with a demon, and it wasn't bad, or tried to do anything scary like possession, and it was just a nice chat.

I figured I'd give this a shot, because, I mean like it's interesting to me, and might actually turn out to be something worth really going for.

Hmm...another question I had, I guess would be is what do you do? There's this I guess outline of what Satanism is on the site, but, personally as people practicing Satanism, or being a Satanist, what do you do concerning your religion?

How do you feel about it?

What kinds of things can I do to become involved in a group if I really end up liking this?

I knew that this religion is more of a self-discovery and living life to its fullest kind of thing, rather than sacrificing animals all that stuff that people get into their heads, that scares the crap outta people for no good reason. And I guess one more question that I thought of what parts of the religion can I practice? I don't wanna invoke anything weird, or scary, or something like that, as awkward is that is to say...but, I don't.

Thank you!

hello Carmella. i am skye. Demons are actually usually very nice to humans if you treat them with respect, like anyone would be. i talk to my Guardian demon all the time and he has never done anything to harm me. demons r here to help us through our path. Satanism is a very free religion. we do not have super strict guidelines on how to live our lives, we are allowed to choose how we live. for me personnally being a satanist nthing has changed about me, but i know the truth and because of that i feel more in control of my life then wen i was a christian. i do meditate alot to empower myself and be able to protect myself. it does get lonely cause where i live i do not know any others like me, but i have this group and some awesome people i met here so i live. i live the same way i didn't change myself drastically besides throwing out al my bibles and ugly angels i had in my room. since finding Father i feel great. i was deeply depressed wen i was guided to jos and i couldn't be happier now. well being on this group actualy is involvment. satanism is still very underground to the public eye, we r overlooked by most people, except the ones on top who r afraid of what is going to happen wen we find control. just do power meditation and get yourself strong. open your chakra's there is nothing weird in that. hope this helped

Ha!   You came for the exactly the same reason I did. :)   I generally follow the JoS and my friend's advice.   If you have any err, more pointed questions, feel free to ask.   (I skimmed, sorry, no time.)

Hi Carmella, its a good thing you have a interest in Satanism and also good you can already tell whats bull and whats not.Basically Satanism is about empowering your soul so that you can become like a God and have God like powers, you empower yourself so that you can control your own life just by using your own mind and soul.Yes the Demons/Original Gods are friendly,i speak from experiance. But like anyone else to be respected you must respect them yourself. If you realy interested try doing the breathing exercises on joyofsatan.com  and read through the site it will explain alot more about satanism than what I can tell you through a post. And in satanism you free to do what you like,if you dont fancy anything you dont have to do it.Hope i helped a bit,but if you realy want good answers read through joyofsatan.com theres more than enough infomation about this religion there   -David http://www.joyofsatan.org
