I want to try Satanism, but I keep seeing over and over how you shouldn't "dabble." However, I'm not comfortable making a total commitment to something I'm not at least a little familiar with. How could/should I try and reconcile these two things?

Simply study about Spiritual Satanism more. Read all of the JoyofSatan.org website including the Sermons. It is true you should not "dabble" but only to a certain extent. It is always good to learn. Satan knows you are curious and that you wish to learn. I would suggest to learn read the JoS website but also try meditating. And its through exploration that people find what they are seeking: so explore, just make sure not to attempt anything too big until your ready. When others say not to dabble, usually they mean do not make a commitment if your not gonna follow through. By the way feel free to contact me specifically if you need more help.
