About the Dedication Ritual.

I have yet to do the Ritual, fact is I'm about an hour from starting it.
I just want to get a few things straightened out before I begin it.

When I Write the Dedication Prayer, Do I write it as part of the ritual, or before hand then sign it to begin the ritual?

Then after wards does one meditate for a bit, and opens ones self to the ethereal plain?

I'm still new to this, though I have read a lot on this subject, but I would rather I get this right.

Also I'm looking for someone who has been a part of satanism for a while, to explain a few things, something along the lines of an adviser. I know this is rather awkward to ask someone of, but It would help me along, quite a bit.
