Hi all

Some authors of magick book said must drawing maick circle but some authors else
said maigck circle is UNIMPORTANT because demon HATE circle! For example a
sentence from a magick site:Demons *hate* circles and there is no need for a
"license to depart?as both are offensive and insulting.
This page ishttp://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpent ... LATRY.html

I don't know which view is right?

NEVER use Circles when working with the Gods of Hell. NEVER! To cast a Circle to "Protect" you from a God whom you are asking for assistance gives off the wrong impression don't you think? And that is just for starters.

But is a circle which incorporates the names of Father, Enlil, Isis and Azazel alright? Or one with just the four elements? A circle that is not meant to blaspheme, protect from or anything but is meant to empower the magic working.

The symbol I linked, I made myself. It's in the theban alphabet, it hails the four crown princes of hell. Would this be an acceptable circle? Just for knowledge's sake. It's very basic, but I haven't the time to make a complicated one.

In my opinion, the methods used in Enochian magic are little more than inversions of ancient Pagan rites. So they go clockwise where we go anticlockwise. They use the right hand where we use the left. They bind where we invite. They command where we request. With this in mind, I use my own Satanic version of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram regularly to invoke, and I improved the results of my ritual workings dramatically by doing so. No demon has ever blasted me away for it. Intention is everything. Your intention here is to set the mood, empower your own mind, and invite the demons into a special space prepared for them, am I right? Do you really think Demons would not know the intention of your circle, or so be touchy as to care about nothing more than a association of shape with the workings of their enemies? I think there is nothing more respectful, and worthwhile, than taking the time to create your own rites for working with demons, or even specific rites for specific demons. You should be treating the evocation of a demon as an act of worship. That is, if you want the best results. Do you understand? Pagans used to build altars to their gods and offer sacrifices and hymns for answers to their prayers, and this is what was called "worship". We call it "evocation". If it worries you, just ask the demon himself if it "offends" him.

Those are two cents anyway. Don't take it as gospel. I'm not interested in arguments over dogma.

Circles can be used in workings, if it is for protection like HP Dragonwolf stated, the Gods don't like this, to say the least..lol.

But think of all the Pagan stone circles, circles of rune stones, this can be used to raise and focus energy yes. Just be careful in your use.

I have always found that erecting a circle helps to contain the energy that I am raising for the Demons which I invite, to partake of as an offering to them. The circle is not a defense rather, it is a place out of time, between the worlds, or if you like the underworld. It sets the space apart from the everyday space/time continuum establishing a rarefied area for the Demonic to manifest in. In is an place to "invite into" in other words, a container for all the forces and essences that each particular demon enjoys.

You know, this makes no sense at all. The Demons aren't from a different world and they know where to appear. They are just physical beings like us living in the Orion constellation who use astral projection to contact us. They are not that stupid.

But the point, the circle and triangle was used to force them appear and you seem to use that for the same reason. Demons are not forced, they appear whenever and wherever they want they don't need you to make a circle to force them to appear there. I find that insulting. Yes, if you want to get on well on with the Gods, don't use a circle when summoning them and don't try to force them do anything. Nor is the circle a purified area. Again like i said the Demons are adept more than anyone else in astral projection and know of those things.

Yes that makes sense since the circle can contain the energies. I guess it also makes it easier to see what you need to focus on in your third eye. But I think using a circle is something you would need to talk about between your GD and other demons to make sure it's ok with them first. Hail enki and hail haures!

I guess its all in the intentions. A circle is just a circle unless there are intentions and energies concentrated in it. Just be sure before you call out to any of them you set ur intentions straight. As for me circles as i know not only is able to call out demons but also enpower yourself. So what im saying circles the star signs and whatever are just tools, if anything goes wrong its not the tool fault but the one using the tool who is at fault
