What is logic?

I am confused by this word "logic". What is it? I want to try to understand. If any one can tell me or know, please let me know.

The reason i wanted to know is because, i use it. And using a word that i can not understand or know is just bad. [In my opinion]

It applys to thought, intellect, in my opinion non emotional. Its a bit tricky to define what it is to be honest. Critical thinking is also another way of defining logic

It's the most simple form of thought and a property of the left brain. Common sense, analysis, reasoning requiring proof. Logic comes for the Greek word ''Logos'' which translates to ''reason''. Logic is simply valid reasoning.

Logic is fundamental and is the same for all. It is not something personal. It's a set of rules that apply either you like it or not. 2+2=4. Anyone who states differently is simply illogical or stupid.

This is just a philosophical question, so as to answer accordingly:

One type of Logic, is common sense. Its Mathematical, cold etc. There are not many explanations of Logic. Its common sense. People who disregard Logic are either very emotional, or irrational, or do this in purpose to bypass the logic of others.

Behind Logic there lie many subconscious reasons on how one came up with their concept of logic. For instance a Satanist, knowing that magick works, will have a logical outcome of life that can be too based on this. Logic ties into how much knowledge and experience one has.

Though, there is another type of Logic, that is the same for everyone. That if you jump from a skyscraper you're going to die, or that if you put your hand on a naked cable, you will get electroshocked. These are natural laws and its by Logic we understand and work by them. This is sheer Logic of reality, all in itself.

Now Human Logic for instance. Satanism takes Logic to a level where its really in unison with the Higher Laws of Nature, therefore healing the Logic all in itself so that one can operate in both the sheer Logical way, and the Mental Logical way (Magick, higher awareness etc.

Satanism shows you the 'hidden' things in nature, therefore your natural Logic operates based on these things, on a higher level.

For instance: for a bound xian soul, its 'logical' to never approach the Devil. Seeing this from the standby of Reality (Satan being our creator God) this is not logical, but illogical and the xian's logic isn't logic, but is programming that is emotional and against the logic of reality. Therefore ignorance and not Truth. Logic and Truth go together.

But 'Sheer' logic is the same for everyone, meaning the basic natural and math laws, or physics.

All in all, there is the natural laws that everyone accepts (Like gravity) and other types of mental logic that are directly connected to the mental part of someone, past experiences etc. Which if looked upon from the standby of Truth and Total Natural laws (Knowing about all the levels, not just one) are purely illogical.

In Satanism, solid LOGIC is one that is in complete unison and co-operation with natural law. Satanists are therefore LOGICAL, not only in the physical matters, but at the spiritual ones.

That's a very narrow look at logic, this sort of thinking makes people think that everyone on the planet is rational, which they are not. If you are just talking about mathmatics then yes this is correct, however, when speaking of anything that does not have a exact value then logic gets fuzzy and it eventually becomes a personal choice in what you believe. No one knows if the subjective or objective view of life is right or if it's both so you can't say that our existence is so simple.
