Reiki and other questions.

Hello all. I've been involved with the New Age Movement for quite some time now. I recently got into a debate with someone and it moved me to reading pretty much every article I could find on JOS.org. Interestingly enough, apparently, my personal belief system is very very close to that of a theistic satanist. Needless to say I was a little shocked.

I practice Reiki (Technically a LHP practice already as the practitioner is taking a situation in his own hands vs allowing the divine to have full control) and was wondering if anyone had any insight that I might not know. You guys already blew my mind about Yoga, of which I'm still processing and meditating on.

I'd really like to give some of the power meditations a go, however again...How does one know if one is ready?

So many new things to try. I've never had an aversion to those that identify as Satanist. Growing up in a very Christian home, I'm very very well aware of the horrendous things contained in The Bible and want nothing to do with it.

Also, a web designer by trade does anyone know how I could get in contact with the current owners of JOS? I'd like to offer a redesign for free. It's in desperate need of an update; and that red on black lettering...eye strain.

Anyways, thanks in advanced. I'm really excited to find all this new information and really looking forward to having some conversations with you people and learning everything I can.

Reiki is not actually a LHP practice, instead we use other methods to heal and empower ourselves/others.
As for power meditations, you should not practice them unless you Dedicate to Satan. This is because the Power Meditations make you like a beacon on the astral realm, and the enemies of Satan WILL attack you (I am speaking from experience here, not just theory). However, if you Dedicate to Satan, you will be protected from these attacks, and can do the meditations safely.

As for the website, it could  be better, however we choose those colors because those were Sacred colors for Egypt. That is the reasoning for the red and black, as far as I am aware.

No disrespect meant ljossmyrkr but Reiki is ultimately from ego. Anything of the ego can't be RHP, it's totally contradictory. So it *is* LHP in nature, no matter how the practitioners or observers wish to categorize it.

I'm very interested in learning your methods of healing. I'm assuming you all have a similar view on sickness and disease being a lack of prana, chi, or whatever you'd like to call it? Where do you draw from? I'm very interesting in many different modalities of energetic healing. Reiki only being the tip of the iceberg.  Although I'm supposing I'd have to dedicate in order to begin to learn this and to be honest I don't think I'd be ready to take such a step. I'm hesitant to of broken free from one religion only to become a servant to another.

Also thanks for the advice bluebow. I am fully aware of the deep ingrained crap from Christianity. I'm thankfully far removed from the church by this point; yet still find myself on occasion reverting back on thought, if only for a few seconds. I combated this with the bible itself. I read everything, many times. I don't ever wish to serve or even be associated with an entity that commanded some of the things written about in the old testament. I mean, I have a hard enough time watching people eat meat (no judgement to you omnivores).
I wonder if this is why the dedication is so heavily pushed? Almost as a psychological detachment from old programming? Ugh! I have so many questions. I'm going to fix the email situation though. 

So back to reading. One last question, are there any other recommended reading books or websites? I've pretty much finished reading through JOS and still have many more questions that are deeper in nature that haven't been satisfied. Didn't mean to write a novella.

We'll have to agree to disagree then, because as I've seen reiki, it is VERY much full of watered down bullshit.
Here is a page for Satanic Healing,  you can read info about it there.
The dedication is pushed heavily because (as you said) it helps release you from the ties and programming (mainly focuses on the ties though) to xianity, as well as makes it so you can safely meditate (a major part of Satanism).
Have you checked out the Sermons Page? Or the Links page (at the bottom of the main JoS website), or Satan's Library? There are literally THOUSANDS of pages on the Joy of Satan website, and chances are if you had actually read them all, a huge majority of your questions would be answered. Not trying to be antagonistic, just letting you know that there is plenty more to read than one might think

As a reiki master I have to disagree with your statement about reiki being LHP only and of ego. Reiki in the general principles in how it is taught is a channeled energy either from a divine sort or from the universe itself. Now if you control reiki's energy instead of allowing it to go where it wants you are no longer using it in the traditional sense but in a LHP sense. 
The downside of this is you are no longer channeling at this point you are pulling in the energy and then using your own plus it to do the work. When you control something and remove the channel then you are LHP. I personally find using it this way more powerful and effective.
