Quick Question About Seeing the Aura

I have a quick question about seeing ones Aura.
I been working on opening my 3rd eye and trying to see my own Aura.
Yesterday I started to see something. It's just like a extremely thin fog, like when you cross your eyes just a little bit.
Am I really starting to see my aura or it's something else?
Btw, it's kinda white and I can only see it when there is poor light and against a dark background.

Small Update:
I can see it if there is good light, but the darken background is needed (I can't see it if I have like a white wall). The only difference is that if the light is good, I don't see the "fog" but more like when you see through really hot air (like just over some fire).

Yes, I believe this is a sign that you are seeing your aura, but maybe someone else already answered this.  And the crossing your eyes thing, I get what you mean, it's not actually crossing your eyes, just relaxing them and you start 'seeing' things, like energy coming off of your hands.  Keep meditating,Hail Satan!!

This is absoloutley your aura you are seeing! Same thing happend to me, and before you know it, your seeing will embrace to a larger step. Which is pretty awesome.

Just know that if you look at one place for too long the light will imprint on your vision, so what you think is your aura might be the outline of that imprint. A good way to decide this is to look away from your hand(or whatever you where looking at), to a plain surface, if you still see the outline of your hand, it's probably not your aura.

Thank you ALL very much for the answers!!

No, it's not an imprint. Actually I have to focus to see it. If I loss focus, the aura disappears and I have to start focusing again. Plus it couldn't be an imprint because the hand (which is where I most easily) is not that much illuminated.
