question regarding the philosopher's stone

I have read the article on the main site several times, and just
recently have been told the philosopher's stone doesn't make you
immortal, and yet, I see this sentence: "Once the body completely
adjusts to the stone's energy, it will always be recreating
itself--always active and new". I am aware this is how immortality
works, which is why I am asking has this person told me wrong? It was
my friend that told me this, and as many times as I have read the
article, I really don't believe it. Please help.

The philosopher's stone dosn't make you immortal, that is correct. It will however greatly empower your soul when used correctly. And will bring you much closer to that point of Godhood.

With that quote, it is talking about the Stone 'always recreating itself', not the body. I hope you understood this, but I thought I'd clarify just incase.

If I'm way off answering your question, forgive me. I may have misunderstood your question completely.
