Question #540: Will Satan take me back?

When I was 15, I completed the dedication ritual. Afterwards, I felt very close to Satan and for a while life was pretty good. Then, the hard times began. During these hard times, at the age of 19, I allowed myself to be convinced by other pagans that the Joy of Satan organization was a farce. My faith wavered, and I began to consider myself an atheist. Now, at 30 years old, I would like to adhere to the teachings of these ministries once more. I recall that Satan does not take kindly to those who turn their back on him especially after completing the dedication ritual, and the loss of Satan's guidance may be the cause of my current spiritual and material woes. Is there anything I can do get back in his good graces, or am I doomed to a life suffering for my past mistakes?

Welcome back! You are definitely not doomed. You did well, coming back, and Satan will accept you as long as you are honest to Him and to yourself. You don't need to perform the dedication ritual again, but you can focus on His sigil and explain the situation. Lack of knowledge may lead to doubts, make sure to study and read the Library thoroughly. Understanding also comes with meditation and you should begin as soon as possible. The way to get back in His good grace is just by working on yourself again, get back into the spiritual warfare and if possible help the cause in any way you can. Embrace the path and never quit again. Do not guilt trip your own self and just be proud that you're back here, try to not focus too much on the past.

When you are back in the loop and presentable, do a formal ritual and communicate with Satan, explain your situation and that you wish to serve His designs faithfully this time. Even if you cannot hear Him, He will hear you. Be truthful with Him, always.
