Hi everyone!
I'm new to the group and just wanted to give a short intro of me.
I am what you would call a "seeker" in terms of religion/beliefs/spirituality. I have felt quite lost now and again, so I have decided that education and knowledge are the best things for me at this point. I'm not sure if I dare say I am currently "following" a Pagan path... but I'm not going to lie about it just to avoid an inevitable discussion. The reason I follow Paganism at this point is because I love nature, animals, and believe in the power of people. I do not worship/pray to/give thanks to any God, Goddess, or any other "Higher Power". The main reason for this... I don't want an entity that takes away my powers and credits themselves for everything I do. (Yes, I was brought up Christian/Methodist). I joined the group to basically find out more about your beliefs and various paths you might be on. I've enjoyed reading everything so far, and I hope I can contribute at some point.
Thank you for the opportunity to be here!

It sounds to me you're describing a form of Neo-Paganism, because i'm pretty sure that traditional Pagans do acknowledge the Pagan Gods. The idea that the Gods are forces of nature didn't manifest until 20th century, even traditional Druids did have deities like Cernunnos (who is Belial is the Satanic Pantheon).

The main point here is simillar, we don't worship anyone but we know that the Gods/Demons are real from the experiences we have and many of us can see/hear and talk to them. Most Spiritual Satanists have them as friends and teachers they don't see them as "higher powers". Also with the Demons its the actually opposite of what you said "an entity that takes away my powers and credits themselves for everything I do". Satanism is about the evolution and empowerment of humanity, becoming Gods, gaining immortality through using our own powers and developing them. Satan and the Gods are here to teach us meditations and other things that can help us awake our kundalini and hidden powers (like telekinesis, astral projection, any form of magick e.t.c.) and use them. ON OUR OWN without depending on them or any others. They also emphasize self-reliance very strongly and don't like people who call on them for things they can do on their own or through magick.

The Demons are actually the ancient Pagan Gods and Satanism is the name for ancient, Original Paganism. This is not only obvious by the Gods/Goetic Demons names like Goetic Demons Amon (Amon Ra) and Astaroth (Astarte/Ishtar/Isis/Aphrodite) but by the serpent which was highly revered in all pagan religions like many serpent hieroglyphics in egypt, Shiva (Shiva is actually Satan) having serpents around his neck and many more. Of course, the serpent was labeled as the "devil" in jewish/christian bible and slandered because of bringing knowledge. Enki/Ptah (the sumerian/Egyptian name of Satan) is the Lord of the serpents and goats (goat is another animal attributed to Satan) seen in mythology. The serpent is actually the kundalini serpent. This can be confirmed if you ask the Demons too, they'll tell you they are the prechristian Pagan Gods and tell you the names they were known in Pagan cultures.
