"Professor Maeir explained that this find could chronologically be placed some 50 years after the story of David and Goliath was to have taken place.
Furthermore, according to Prof. Maeir, Goliath was a very popular type of name at the time.
Regardless of the low odds, the archaeological find may be seen as the first clear extra-biblical evidence that the story of the battle between David and Goliath may be more than just a legend."
Oh my god. Do they really think anyone is that stupid? Look. In the first two paragraphs that I pasted, it explains how improbable the story is. Then, the last paragraph says "Well yeah but this is the first clear extra-biblical evidence.."
WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously. Just.. seriously. I can't believe there are adults out there who believe this. I'm 15. Adults are supposed to be smarter than children. This should be an embarrassment. I guess someone who was already brainwashed really hard into Xianity would say "Well, it's not probable, but it's evidence! Oh praise the Lord!"
*rolls eyes.* Sometimes I wonder if Xians are TRYING to make my beliefs more firm. That's all they're doing.
