Herbs are said to not have magic properties on their own. (Read the page on the binding spell)
So if you were to use them youd have to raise some energy and program them.
However. There have been people in the past whom used them in combination with astrology and such, I thought maria teben could be the name I was looking for but I could be wrong.
Also culpeper is a well known name.
Reading those random things on those names made me realize that any herb knowledge represented today in europe is either completely scientific, stripped bare of the magic or energetic background, or, its from a wiccan source like background, which means you most likely can take it with a grain of salt.
There is a book that seems somewhat interesting used as a reference (I didnt take a look at it) which may be what you are looking for.
Witchcraft medicine: Healing arts, shamanic practices & forbidden plants. Names said are: muller-ebeling, claudia, christian ratch, and wolf-dieter storl.
Other info: rochester, VT: Inner Traditions 2003
Just make sure the author is not a kike and never use or sell hallucinogenic plants. Or toadstools.
