Get you some candy cands and focus on the taste I already bought me some
Happy Yule times to you too!Get you some candy cands and focus on the taste I already bought me some
We dont celebrate jewish holidays here.Get you some candy cands and focus on the taste I already bought me some
And any way, it is "chrismas" with no T in it because that is how it is pronounced.
I know that almost everyone spells it with a T. I say that I don't because I seperate it from the jewish shit. It would be better for people to not put a T, or just say Yule. The English language is complex, as it has changed a lot over the course of… about 1,5k years. Having only 26 letters, it has about 46 sounds, and as far as the relationship between spelling and pronunciation is concerned, it is quite irregular. Though I’d argue that when one has been learning it for years, or using it consciously, you can spot the patterns and regularities in the language, however irregular it may be.
Correct - this is the pronunciation. The ‘t’ in ‘christmas’ is still there (in spelling), even though it is not pronounced. Likewise 'christianity' may be pronounced with ‘sh’ or ‘t’ - there are variants which defy standard grammar rules.
As for xian vs xtian - we know that ‘christ’ is fictitious, not some guy by the name of Chris.
Just my two linguistic cents![]()
I say the the xtian name (Christmas) of it too sometimes when dealing with Family members who are xtian but when on here or speaking to others who dont care I use Yule.My mom is athiest and my dad is christian but not very strongly. I was raised as athiest. We have always had this holiday without any mention of any jewish shit. There was no idea of jesus. There was only Santa, Satanas Aenaos. It is a time of magic, life, family, success, and the Gods. This is what chrismas is to most people, which is what it has always been since before christianity ever existed. The Yule that our people have done forever and which we still do now. This is not a christian holiday. The christians tried to erase this holiday, but since it was the most important one, they were not able to get our people to stop celebrating it. Instead they wrote some bullshit story to try to make it seem like it is about them. But most people do not actually include that bullshit jewish story in this holiday, and they only celebrate the original holiday of the Gods and our people.
I call it chrismas because that is what I and my family have always called it. I know that it is the same thing as Yule, but I am not used to thinking of that word and my family doesn't use that word. And any way, it is "chrismas" with no T in it because that is how it is pronounced. And because there is no bullshit jewish "christ" character in my holiday of the Gods. I do not associate this holiday with any kinds of jewish things, because none of that has ever been part of it for us.
