Void meditation can sometimes be difficult just to sitting there or laying down with a voided out mind but what you can do and it worked for me focus on advance void meditation first I started chewing gum and when I did this I would concentrate on the taste you can do this with a mint or hard candy it definitely helped me to void out my thoughts even while doing regular void meditation
 
Even if one is not adept in void meditation, is it okay to do advanced void meditation, for example focusing on a spot on wall while including physical positions?
Yes. As long as sessions are fruitful in some form, I do not see any issue.
 
Yes, I like to do some yoga positions while doing void meditations. It helps to clear negative thoughts as well. Very convenient.
