I come across the idea of a Lower and Higher self a lot when researching spirituality, can anyone explain this in more detail?

It's expected when you research "spirituality". What non-Satanists mean when they say:

spirituality=new age bullshit
higher self=selfless slave
lower self=normal person

Isn't it obvious, because what they call "spirituality" mostly talks about messing with your emotions and psychology and tells you to be something else than what you really are. No spiritual self-empowerment or how to awaken your powers whatsoever. And if they mention a few meditations about spiritual development they are extremely watered down and usually they come with dozens of warnings about "karma" and how it's wrong to supposedly "abuse" your powers or use them for "selfish" reasons instead for using them to be a perfect slave and "dissolve your individual soul". Real spirituality has nothing to do with morals or changing your personal view or anything other than feeling your soul and developing it to it's maximum potential via power meditations and other things, unlocking it's powers.

Wow before I dedicated on 11/2/11 I wrote a song in that vein, (highest selves and twin flames and elementals and astral travel)and a book around the twin flame chant idea which I started a few years earlier. I was told by a wikkan HP that a friend of mine was my twin flame, so I made a twin flame chant based on things I learned and the book I've started the second one. now I am thinking should I ditch and burn the book totally that took me three years to write ?? I destroyed and burned one called fairy Tale that dell had accepted in the 80's because someone told me it was evil. I do not want to make that mistake again, Or can this series be used to secretly introduce people to something anti Kike and slowly introduce them to satan without them realizing it which became my idea after I dedicated, but if it is a new age concept that sucks. I thought it meant attaining godhood and balancing the world by becoming all you were meant to be together with you eternal partner with the help of the 'eternal flame' which I decided was Father Enki. I would like help on this one if anyone wants to comment. Thanks much ..
