Is this a sign?

I was reading on JOS a few months back, that to dedicate your soul to Lord Satan, you had to perform a ritual. So I bathed vigorously and banished any bad vibes, not wanting to taint the ritual. I chanted the words necessary to continue the ritual, I slit my finger, and I signed my name in blood. I lit a candle, prayed to Lord Satan, and placed my folded contract in the fire. It burned slowly at first, then the flame grew larger and larger. I grew concerned for my house, with a 2 foot flame flickering wildly. So...I made a containment circle in my yard, about 10ft in diameter, and sat with the candle in the middle meditating on my promises to Lord Satan. The paper burned for over an hour, with a flame over 2 feet, for most of the hour. It wasn't even really that hot, either. I could stand and place my hand a few inches away from the flame, and feel no heat. Was this a sign? Or am I looking too deeply into this?

If what you say is accurate, that is physically impossible within known classical physics. A single sheet of paper doesn't have enough energy within it to burn for an hour. That being said, one can only conclude other energy was supplied. Thus, I would personally take it as a sign.
Hail Satan!

A sheet of paper burned for more than just a few seconds?

When I folded up the notebook paper, i folded it up about 6 times, it was about 1 1/2 in long, and 1 in wide. My candle was a dark blue, ocean scented candle from Wal-Mart.( I know, Lord Satan deserved better than a Wal-Mart candle, but I had about 10$ and it was the biggest one they had) So i dropped it in the flame, and it burned for a looong time.

Walmart and Target are okay for candles. I bought a red small pillar candle with a holder cup from Target to do my dedication ritual.
Just be careful not to buy incense from dollar stores, as they are cheap, foul smelling and embarrassing. Tibetan shops, occult stores and health food stores have a decent selection of incense.I was lucky to find tall black candles at a dollar store, 2 for $1, before it shut down.
In Spiritual Satanism, it's nice to have candles and incense, an incense holder and perhaps a burning bowl to burn your ritual prayer in. Or other nice things, like a robe and other occult paraphernalia. But it's not necessary. Spiritual Satanism is a religion of the mind and soul. You can do rituals and workings without these things. They are nice to have but not necessary.
The power lies within you, not the props.

Although it's nice to light candles and incense to create a certain atmosphere to help you get into the mood.

However I do recommend a 108 mala bead necklace to help with counting once you get into doing workings. You can make your own or buy one from Tibetan stores.
Hail Satan! And welcome to the family!
