In a lot of "appendix" pain, please help.

I don't know what is wrong at this point... I didn't think it'd be a good idea to post about this on the J.O.S boards, but... It fucking hurts so much... It feels like my appendix exploded, or that I have a bullet in my ovaries, which I don't have ovaries, so... I went to the hospital yesterday, and they did catscans. They said it could be anything, but my appendix was healthy. It feels right on my appendix, like something is very, very wrong... Like there is a live hand grenade exploding in my lower abdominals, on the right side... I don't know what to do, I just need help... They, the doctors, said to come back in if the pain continued. But, my "mom" won't take me back to the hospital... I need a prescription or something, anything to kill the pain... I feel like a dying animal, I feel like I should just kill myself to make it go away. What the fuck do I do? Is this some sort of enemy attack? Please, help me.

Get to the emergency ward of the nearest hospital. Can a neighbor take you if your mom won't? Can you get a cab? Call an ambulance? (Mom needs to be careful; denying medical treatment to another is serious; the law doesn't smile upon it.)

I've been going through the same thing for 6 years. I've been told by specailits that it's nothing, to never see them again, that it'll "heal" itself. I've been told that I'm faking it and I just trying to get out of school (even though I saw them after graduating highschool too). I get really sick out of nowhere the longest stretch was 6 weeks straight of puking multiple times a day not being able to keep anything down and when I was finnaly seen by "dr.s" all they did was hook me up to an IV to get fluids back into me. I don't know what to do, I've lost track of how many times I'm been to the hospital and denied admittance or the two times I was admitted they did nothing. It's a shitty deal to go through.

It's so frustrating and often painful when the medical establishment can't (or refuses) to help, passing off real physical complaints as "imagination". The usual targets for these stunts are women, younger people and the elderly, but no one is immune; I've known plenty of men who got the run-around too. I think that dismissive attitude is why many have turned to more natural and holistic modalities in the first place.

Here's a few ideas that may (or may not) be helpful or at least get you thinking about some possible alternatives:

You need a diagnosis. If allopathic doctors can't/won't help, can you see a naturopath? Ideally, if you find one who has a degree in naturopathic medicine AND allopathic medicine you get the best of both worlds. But naturopaths, with or w/o the double degree (and they are rare) can be worth their weight in gold.

I don't know much about it because with so much on my plate I haven't had time to delve into it seriously, but many swear by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

I do reflexology on my feet/hands/ears almost every day & find it enormously helpful. What it does is that it helps remove energy knots or blockages within the body to stimulate self-healing. There's lots of books available; even downloadable online charts. Usually it can take a few days to begin seeing results (although it's very relaxing) not always.

Take a look at your nutrition (or see a nutritionist if possible). For instance, if I avoid things like soda pop, pre-packaged, prepared foods, etc. I notice a huge difference. White sugar/flour/rice, etc. -- all those heavily refined foods -- are 'murder' on your system. I know it's boring for some to learn about all this but the payoff can be big.
