I am making a BIG statue for SATAN!

Im new to the group, didnt introduce myself earlier... sorry my mind is going a hundred directions right now... but I felt compelled to use my art to create something to honour Satan in my own style. It is not a 'portrait' type thing because I don't really know what he looks like except what I have read of descriptions so it is more of a tribute to what he represents to me. Beautifull, powerfull, non comformist, individual with presence... a bit 'punk rock' and a true warrior! I started with a maniquen body form and a foam head and went from there I have so much left to do but I feel power in it already. I want to add symbolic elements to it, his sigil and I feel a bit of an egyptian theme comming in I may include a cobra what do you guys think? I am trying to include his colours and found a lovely peice of royal blue satin fabric today while shopping. I also have some fabric with peacock feathers and some real feathers.

I have made wings from twisted wire almost 2 meters accross I will spray paint white with a touch of gold I had a feeling earlier I should finish him off with white gold paint. He will have brilliant blue eyes I am looking for a pair of realistic glass eyes. I am going to use a high end modelling compound to finish his face everyone who has seen the face has loved it so far and I was even thinking of placing a world globe in his hands. I am hoping to finish it to be weather proof so I can stand it in my front garden it will hopefully be standing about 2-3 meters off the ground where everyone can see him including the religious nuts who often bug us... I have an 8 foot fence and dogs so vandals won't be a problem. I will do my very best on this, it has been my absorbing obsession for weeks... I would love to share a picture of it when I am done?

I also did a painting of him before starting the statue. If it turns out how I am hoping it will I may do some more of the demons to honour them aswell if they would like me to that is...We will see what happens. Art is one of the few things I can do that impresses people so I feel it would be a waste not to use it now.

Oh thanks everyone! I am doing it for Satan so I hope he likes it...I realised at this point getting it weather proof might not be possible but no matter... I may just keep it above my alter or in the living room. I could do some twisted wire statues for outdoors though later when I have finished this one. I wouldn't want him to get harmed in anyway... and you are right if anyone did vandalise this... if Father didn't get them first I would! I think I have his face quite close for some reason, I had never done a sculpture like this before so someone MUST be helping me! The expression is important, and the eyes especially, I will put a great deal of effort into his eyes. I have been making all of his hair strand by strand and attatching each peice, using the type of hair they use for hair extensions and dreadlocks and also felted yarn in blonde, blue and a few bits of black to give the look some contrast and 'punch' I invision him with a powerfull impressive look and a wild mane almost reminds me a little of a lion. I will probably use if I can find the right ones in the right size glass eyes, peircing blue really vivid and striking. If I cannot get the right ones my next choice is to make the eyes and use human grade contact lenses.

I was looking at the egyptian images of pharohs with the cobra emerging from the head and am thinking of doing just that to symbolise the risen serpent. I have found a cobra statue just the right size I could use and paint white gold to match. I havn't decided yet... I will just ask Father what he thinks! I think I will know... I have followed 'my gut' for most of it but its still my own work all the same.

I would be glad to share a picture when it is finished! It is sad there are not more inspiring images and depictions of Satan and his demons around these days. Just hollywood rubbish...
