Wishing all my Spiritual Family here a very happy Halloween
Samhain is the last of the harvest festivals, and a time to honor the dead. The veil between the astral and physical is thinner, and divination is easier. The Moon is waxing and will be in Pisces (check the calendar for your location, as the Moon will be VoC in Aquarius for a while in some locations). This will enhance all meditation and divination pursuits. I highly recommend all members to take advantage of the powerful energy of this day to receive guidance from your Guardian Daemon.
Symbols include pumpkins, cauldrons, brooms, acorns. Colors are Black and Orange, black rules new beginnings and knowledge of hidden things, and orange rules creativity and change. Tarot, Ouija boards, spirit communication are all linked to this holiday.
Bonfires are traditional at this time of year, representing the Sun and burning away the dross of the soul. If you can't have a bonfire and don't have access to a fireplace, you can at least light a candle while you meditate. You can do a spiritual deep cleaning, or ask your GD for guidance on a particular aspect of your soul to purify.
If any of you have lost a loved one, you can honor them during this day and any time through November. Look at photographs of them, remember the good times you had, and any lessons you feel you should learn from your relationship with them. Allow yourself to grieve, and feel yourself healing again.
You can also watch any Halloween-themed movies with your family or friends. For those who live in a country that celebrates this holiday, you can drive or walk around town looking at the decorations and people's costumes.
From my post last year:
"Halloween is depicted in modern times as being more and more about horror and gore. The enemy throws all this in to insult our Gods and scare people away from spirituality and the occult. Halloween is supposed to be about magick, witchcraft, jack-o-lanterns, broomsticks, the occult, spirit communication. Anything a bit spooky with ghosts and shivers down the spine is perfectly fine, but not the outright gore and sick horror that is pushed these days.
This has always been a time associated with witches, magick, the occult, and divination.
A lot of people have a family tradition of eating specific candy/chocolate/cookies while watching a movie they've seen as a child. My mother used to make cookies that were shaped and colored like jack-o-lanterns, they tasted awful but we ate them anyway because Halloween just wasn't the same without them, lol."
For those of you who have not yet dedicated to Zeus, this is a great time to do so.
Happy Halloween!
