Greetings,  Has anyone in the group made gold.A few years back(in 98) when i was in Delhi.Had gone out for dinner,overheard a conversation ."A" was telling "B" that when he("A")was in Kashmir(A state in north India) he("A") befriended someone who said his(the one "A" befriended in Kashmir)guru could make gold,but never showed him the whole process.When his guru died he tried making gold a few times and was even put into prison as the gold he made would become liquid in a few hours.He was put in the slammer as the person who he sold the gold to complained to the cops.I have also heard of people in Mumbai make gold. HAIL EA/ENKIHAIL MARDUK/RAHAIL LORD NABUHAIL ANUBIS

Gold is an element (found on the periodic table) remember the little thing in science - energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another? Well this applied to material things as well. You cannot destroy something and its "disappears", it changes form, same when creating something, you take one thing (let's say energy) and change it to another form (like you program it for ex)...

To create gold, I personally believe is impossible because gold is Au, so you need Au to make gold, but Au is already gold so you actually don't create it. Hope this makes sense...

I know that episode but I wondered why come here to mine gold if it can be made with technology... and ET's would have the technology if it were possible to do it?

Actually nvm what am i saying?... YES you can, theoretically, make Gold the same way that they make seaborgium or rutherfordium or einsteinium. Srry, i wasnt really thinking at the time. I guess what i meant was i didnt think there were any known ways of doing it. Sorry for incorrect data and refuting your ideas :]

Thats probably because creating required large amounts of energy or it produced it in very low quantities much like all other synthetic elements which scientists only are able to make one or a few atoms. In that case, mining for it from a natural source would be more effective. The gods were kindof in a race against the clock and needed ALOT of gold in a small amount of time. Anyway, thats my hypothesis on this issue...
