Can these exercises alone give superpowers? Li Hongzi claims so. Why is it important that there is no mind-intend in the exercises? Can immortality be obtained with only these 5 exercises? Li Hongzi speaks about the same immortality stuff as is written in some taoist scripts. Is there really a deeper secret of qigong? Like, a meditation focuses on one part of the human system. The exercises focus on the whole system as one. Does it make any sense? Li Hongzi says that the exercises and cultivating the mind can give you faster progress than most yogic technigues. Is this true?

Everyone that does meditations consistently obtains "superpowers" but it isn't in the next 5 minutes. It takes some years. Those people that Li Hongzhi claims to have superpowers they have been doing exercises for more than 10 years, since the Falun Gong thing started. I don't believe they give immortality, this is only possible by completing the Magnum Opus. But its true that his exercises give faster progression than yoga and mainstream stuff, otherwise he wouldn't be exiled and hunted down by the communist government. Still, they are probably on the same level as the JoS meditations.

falung gong didn't start 10 years ago. it is a buddhist practice that has been going on for over 1,000 years, probably longer. It was passed down from teacher to disciple for very long until one man decided to bring it into the public.
