Cold showers affecting menstrual cycle?

Hello.
I've been doing cold showers for around 50 days now. My period came normally the first month, but now... well, it still hasn't come. (Around 6 days delay)

I don't have any sign of bloating or anything like that (but I usually *don't* have them, even in my normal period days).

It's very hot here. Cold showers feel good and healthy. What should I do? I have no issues with my genitals (no PMS or hormonal issues).

What would you suggest me to do? I can't even imagine taking a warm shower with this weather.

Are you sure it’s not something else? Stress maybe, or are you having sex?
 
It actually effects it messes up with your cortisol. Female body is so sensitive to cortisol. I was doing it when i hit the bottom of my ed bc it was burning calories...i lost my period. Dont foolow the health and fitness stuff for men. For a man cold shower or fasting in morning may be heathy. But our body is different.

You can have cold shower but dont have shower with ice-like cold water. And eat before cold shower it will tell your body you are ''safe''. Dont drink cofee when you re hungry. It actually mess up with your cortisol too.

Stress is at a usual rate. No sex.

If you really like cold showers, especially in the summer, I don’t think you should stop, maybe lessen it but not sure if that’s the sole reason.

And dont feel angry with your body at all. Just go easy and find ways to balance.

How often do you take these cold showers? Once a day? And for how long?

If I were you, I would balance my body with adaptogen herbs to support it even while doing things that can cause stress. The adaptogen herbs will protect the body and bring equilibrium, as well as balancing your menstrual cycle.

Also, sithali breath is good to do when your body gets overheated.

And as for your delayed menstrual cycle, there are teas and herbs you can take to balance it again.

No one can really do anything that goes beyond their limits. Women don’t have the same biology as men so standards won’t be the same but that doesn’t mean the body doesnt adapt.

I'm happy it did.
It's been coming with mathematical accuracy for years now (except for one time when it came earlier), so I was very surprised with this long (for my body's standards) delay.

I will take a look in the adaptogen herbs.

As for the Sithali breath, I had completely rejected it because I can't roll my tongue as needed. 😅
I will take a look on a guide on how to do that.

Good for you! Yeah, I didn’t think the cool showers were cause for concern. Might have been something else minor, and sometimes the delays do happen.

Enjoy your cool showers, especially in this summer season.

Don't be afraid to push your limits, you are a strong woman, backlashes are powerless and unimportant.

For the sithali, stick your tongue out, and try to curve up the front part, like when you touch the palate in the mouth with the very tip, except now it's out of your mouth. Another way to think about it is you are making a spoon with it. In anyways, simply just curve the very tip upwards. Now if you have it curve, and it's outside your mouth, form an O shape with your lips. As you are bringing your lips together to form the O shape, your tongue should curve to the sithali position.

Keep your tongue flat do not make it into a sausage shape, you may be flexing your tongue in a way that it makes it into a sausage, just let your lips do the work. If you have the spoon formation just make an O with your lips and basically that's it, I don't know how you cannot do it😂

Maybe because these are not very feminine things, but there are a lot of feminine things to expand upon!!
Getting and being fit should also be completely fine for woman as well, just don't be a body builder as a woman really... And don't force yourself too much, and always do yoga and balancing things, I know also there are specific yoga for women for menstruation and so on... Do girly things.
Also for cold showers I personally find lukewarm to be pretty satisfying. I start with a temperature my body is most comfortable with, and I decrease it slowly to like lukewarm, very rarely a bit colder.
But yeah I see, and I think woman are just much more complicated and therefore fragile, maybe this fragility can be cured with soul advancement and other training, but yeah I just don't know femininity all that much. I honestly don't know what are the pure feminine traits, but I bet these are just the low level manifestations for woman. I know more about masculinity. Ideally menstruation shouldn't hurt as well, if I'm not wrong, it hurts because of a deficiency of something. Anyways, take care, wish you the bests.
