Before you dismiss this question, I tolds you the current OS I use, which means that I need anonymity for this, will also tell you I am a Zevist in case that has any effect on what replies this may get.

I'm biased in favor of windows xp (service pack 3 and nostalgia) and windows 7 (fruitiger aero = nostalgia) but still willing to use anything else as well.

(also I heard that the newer windows OS systems have performance issues implying that newer hardware perform better with older systems, is that true?)

I heard that windows 10 is facing what looks like is gonna end up an EOL starting october this year, so I'm considering migrating to a new OS, please tell me what to do.

Judeo-elites are going crazy and bill gates is certainly one of them.

If I install an OS without official support (like an old windows OS), what must I do to get antivirus protection?

Seperate question, are the differences between linux distributions fixed or can they be changed?

Greetings, you should NOT use end of date operating systems as they will be hacked the moment you connect them to the internet. You won't necessarily notice this which is even worse.
Windows 11 is fine as it can be hardened. The easiest was is this tool: https://amelabs.net/ (any of the playbooks will remove unnecessary apps and disable telemetry and such)

Linux distributions are not fixed at as most distributions are built on other distributions. You can technically build any of the distributions, or your own distribution out of any distribution. If this is what you are asking. So yes you can change a linux system however you want. Mostly this is very unnecessary and if you are a windows user looking for switching to linux, I would recommend a distribution that works out of the box, like Linux mint or Endeavour OS. Mint will be more stable but the applications available from it's repository will be like 1 or more years old updates, but most of the times the new updates can be downloaded from the official page if it this app has a page like in case of blender.

If you need anonymity, you should never look at Windows, especially older versions, they have tons of vulnerabilities.Take a closer look at TailsOS or other Linux/Debian distributions. It is unlikely that any differences in Linux are very strongly fixed, it is a fairly flexible system, but if you need rare self-written programs or certain games, you should have 2 systems: 1 for anonymity and 2 - Windows 10

Either get Windows 11, or even better, move to some Linux-based operating system as older Windows operating systems are a security risks when plugged to internet because of lack of support (no updates). No software installation will change this.

There are many differences between different type of Linux systems, and then there are Unix systems. Some differences are fixed, and others are not. For you specifically, I recommend doing your research about different Linux distributions and trying them out before making a final decision. You can mount the OS image on a virtual machine on your Win 10 platform for trying without making permanent changes to your current setup.

PS.There are hundreds of millions of Win 10 desktops in the world, and thus, no lack of anonymity when mentioning what OS you use. In fact, your internet browser has a "tag" listing what OS you use among other information that leaves a mark on websites wherever you browse (metadata).
