I'm having a hard time. My mother-in-law is hurting me by judging me, and I can't cut her out of my life unless I let go of my relationship with her son. She talks to everyone, judging me for the things I own, the things I can't afford, for stupid things, and so on. Her way of relating to others is brusque and victimized, and on top of that, she tries to spy on us in every way possible through other people. I can't stand this anymore! It's causing me emotional problems. My husband is willing to put up with it, he probably doesn't even realize it, and he gets brusque if I start a conversation like that. What should I do in this abyss? My relationship is healthy, but for me it became about being free, letting go of a relationship isn't easy and I cared so much about him.
