The level of experience you might have with the Gods depends on the situation and your level of advancement.
However, everyone CAN talk to the Gods and the Gods will hear everyone. All you have to do is to relax, focus on their sigil, and tell your prayer. Communicate with them in prayers, aka be formal, praising, respectful, can also be very personal and emotional. You can have 100% trust in the Gods and you can tell them ANYTHING. Tell them how you feel, what you want to achieve, etc. But never demand anything from them or try to control or command them. Be respectful. You can request their help or request things, but not in a demanding manner.
"Father Zeus, let me pray to and communicate with the Great God Thoth. Oh Thoth, I know you know everything but let me consciously verbalize my thoughts to you. I wish to understand ... Know... etc..."
If you make a promise or request something than it's eternal because the Gods are eternal. You need seriousness when communicating with the Gods, and promising / requesting things. You can't promise the world when you can't even give or haven't yet gave a grain of sand.
Enki's sigil is this:
You can delete the "Baal zebul" text at the bottom in an image editor or draw the sigil without it.

Enki - Satan - Zeus.This is one God and you can find his sigils on the site. Meditate, receive signs, perhaps if your astral senses are open enough - you will be able to communicate.
