Problems with Low Blood Pressure and Blackouts (Fainting)

Greetings, brothers and sister.

As you can see by my title, I seem to have problems with low blood pressure and blackouts. Just today, while writing on my PC, I experienced a blackout on my chair and woke up to find myself still on the chair, albeit the chair broke. My mother, who was in the room while it happened, said that I just lost conscious and almost fell from my chair, but she caught me before I could drop.

This is not the first time it happened. There were two more cases this year: one when I was getting a haircut and the other at late evening while I was studying. I will say that as a person whose sphere of work is centered around writing and translating, I spent most of my time home. I did get my medical results in high school long time ago, and my doctor back then said that my results were great despite the lower blood pressure. She advised me to do sports or some other activity out on the sun, but I cannot really handle the hot temperature that well and my pale skin is quite fragile under the heat. When I was finishing college, I devoted my time to running and walking in the evenings, and at that time, I had no problems I am experiencing now. At the same time, I lost a lot of weight, dropping from 107kg down to 83kg in about a year & a half.

I stopped doing those physical activities due to limited amount of time I have, and this has been the first year of my "inactivity". Anyway, after my final collapse, my mother's friend told her to give me salted water and to eat salty food, warm soups, etc... I also plan on stopping consumption of dairy products in large amounts, which is the type of food I consumed the most. Do you guys have any other advice that might be helpful? I would truly appreciate it and be thankful to you. With more free time coming, I am thinking of starting jogging again in the evenings again. Do you think that is advisable as well? I know that some of you will most likely think or say why I do not go to the doctor again, but the medical service in Bosnia is beyond terrible and due to my father dying due to a bad treatment at the hands of a local doctor when I was 5, I have a hard time trusting anyone here, especially considering that many of our doctors have bought diplomas, zero experience gained in colleges and are connected through political parties.

Other than that, I am extremely healthy (my immune system is great - did not take the Covid vaccine), and I never suffer any serious illnesses during yearly time frames. Usually, the only thing I might suffer is a bit higher temperature or throat soreness, which are not serious.

I hope you don’t mind I ask a few questions. I always hear about high blood pressure being an issue but rare for low blood pressure.

When you were active, was there a complete improvement?

And of course, I’m going to ask, are you doing any Yoga or Qigong? Meditation in general? You should be doing that. Low blood pressure accompanies overall low vitality.

So we have to look at the quality and state of your blood, kidneys and liver.

Also, how is your eye health?

High stress levels? Any other health issues?

Are you able to access certain herbs? I have a couple that can help you but just wanted to see what your answers are.

How is your diet? I mean, I would like to know details? A lot of people think their diets are good, but that’s not always so. Basic nutrition is not enough these days. And for complete health, you need diet, overall mental and emotional well being, the life force through meditation and spiritual exercises, personal fulfillment, fresh air, etc, etc.

You might not eat enough salt. Salt raises the blood pressure.

That might be the case. Over the past few months, I have not really been consuming lots of salty meals, at least in comparison to dairy products and fruits.

Yes. When I was jogging every two days, I gained such great form and my blood pressure, despite still being lower than average, was very close to the normal value and there were not any problems that I am having now. I noticed it was easier for me to do anything that required physical exertion. Actually, I came home recently after jogging. This is the first time I did a 10-circle run since last year, and I actually feel lighter on my feet and more energized.

I'm considerably new to JoS, and I am still learning by reading and translating some stuff, such as the Personalities. However, due to my social situation, overly zealous Catholic family, I cannot easily commit to Zevism without repercussions, which is why I have been translating some of the stuff from the website into my region's language - a way for me to contribute to the best of my abilities and the situation I am in. However, I could do Yoga without drawing to much attention, but I would need something that would be friendly to a beginner until I am comfortable to advance in terms of the exercises.

My general medical analysis is great, even the level of iron in blood, which I thought was a problem in my case due to my paleness, until the analysis proved otherwise. My doctor said that I was mostly lacking activity when I was overweight and sun exposure, though I do not handle the heat all that well and my city is known as one of the hottest cities in this part of Europe. However, I had problems with weight twice in my life and I managed to lose it both times, but the first time I did it in an ill-advised way - by avoiding food as much as possible. The second time (2019-2021) I did it properly by combining normal food intake with exercise.

Also, how is your eye health?

My eye health and general are great, never had any problems with eyesight, and I do not stress a lot.

Are you able to access certain herbs? I have a couple that can help you but just wanted to see what your answers are.

I have access to variety of herbs such as oregano, turmeric, paprika, garlic, parsley, mint, chili, chamomile, horseradish, lavender, ginger.

My diet was much better months ago than it is now. Usually, my breakfast consists of eggs and cheese, milk or yogurt (the milk and yogurt I consume is homemade authentic milk and not the one you find at the stores) and bread. I have a tendency to eat fruits in between meals such as apples, bananas and melons. For lunch, during summertime, I usually do not eat a lot of cooked meals. It is usually something simple like potatoes and mincemeat, or mac and combination of cheese or meat, but if I do not consume that, then it is cheese creams. As for dinner, I tend to skip it usually, opting out for healthy deserts such as yogurts with fruit and proteins. There are times when I forget to drink water, especially when I am busy.

When it comes to my mental health, I do suffer from depression at times, mostly because of some past events such as me losing a parent at a young age and witnessing his death, or the difficulties I faced during childhood and teenage years because of my introverted personality and different thinking from the rest of my peers, as well as some personal mistakes. It usually occurs in the evening, just before bedtime. As for my personal fulfillment, I tend to experience bursts of happiness when doing things that I like such as writing, translating, teaching and learning through reading and information inquiry, which is why I enjoy doing the JOS translation for my region. Lately, I have been going out for evening strolls in order to get some fresh air and to enjoy the landscape in my city instead of spending most of my time at home, which has been helpful for my artistic pursuits.

So far, based on that, it seems like you just need to stay healthy by moving your blood and body, and increasi your life force through meditation practices. The life force being low is one cause of depression.

I think you should try a quick Surya Namaskara yoga routine or Qigong (Standing like a Tree) exercise. They are good for beginners and won’t require much of you. Also, try Breath of fire meditation.

Definitely try that for now.

As for herbs, I was talking more like ginseng and ashwagandha. Not sure if you have access to that.

Thank you, sister. I have increased my physical activity this week by running and stretching a lot, and it has definitely paid off. I will follow your guidance and implement the yoga routines into my daily activities. Usually, I run at the evenings, so I will do the Yoga meditations in the morning.

Thank you as well, brother.

I wish you the best on your healing journey. If things seem to stagnate, we can discuss herbal remedies to further support your body.
