What to tell a three year old?

My mother passed away this past June and my little three year old niece keeps asking, "where is grandma at?" I don't want her to think grandma is in "heaven", but she is too young to understand reincarnation, so what should I tell her as a SS?(in 3 year old terms of course)

I suppose on what the religous beliefs of the grandmother were, doesn't it?

Something simple like, "she's gone on to be with grandpa" might suffice if you want to leave an open door without saying the word "heaven," which sounds like what you're requesting.

Just tell her her body is gone but she's still with you guys in your hearts, and moved on to another life or watching over you guys possibly

my daughter just turned 4 and she grew up with me being a ss they understand alot more than you may realize and what they dont understand they will ask you about we had a cat die and the way i explained it to my daughter was that she went to be with father enki and the other gods and goddesses for a little bit so that way she could come back hear to help another family the way she helped us.hope that helps you out any
