I was wondering this because the definition of a devil is an evil spirit... Of course Satan isn't evil, but why do we call the Yezidi Devil worshipers? They may have worshiped what the muslims saw as the devil, but they were certainly not worshiping an evil spirit.

True/False?

Not as bad as it sounds actually. I believe the word "devil" is the masculine of "deva" and that it's the judeo/xtian/muslim imposed meaning of the word that has given it it's bad name.
