Using dolls and effigies in cursing

I'm wondering if anyone here has ever used dolls or other types of physical representations of people during hexing/cursing? Though I've been a Satanist all my life, I've always simply done Satanic spells when doing destruction spells. I'd like to look into a more focused approach using a doll or something.

Any thoughts?
