ive been doing research on colours and gemstones and ive found out that they work somewhat like runes and their effect have been proved by our modern physics, but they just understand the use.

Getting technical, it has to do with the vibration the light or energy is at. Each colour of the light spectrum is a different vibration (reds and whites being high, blues and darker colours being lower). Through the use of vibration, we are able to manifest certain things. This is how it is similar to the runes, and chant or mantras in general.
