Do any of you have small babies? I have a 1 year old and a 2 month old and its hard for me to find the time to meditate. I try when they take naps but then one wakes up or at night time but when they finally fall asleep at 12am them I'm already tired and my eyes itching. So how do you guys with kids find the time? The longest I can meditate is for like 30 minutes a day so is that enough to advance?

I have a son who is nearly 2 and he doesn't
take any naps and an non supportive nonbeliever partner.
I think 30minutes is fine as personally its around the same amount of time I get to have to myself in the evenings. It'll be easier once their sleeping pattern changes ------------------From: "derikgsthreesixs23" <derikgsthreesixs23@... When the eldest is having a nap just mediate in a light trance while holding the youngest. When my child was born, up until he was six months, I'd mediate while holding him. Mediating in short bursts, like in the shower is great as well. It does get easier and although I sometimes found no time to mediate I didn't notice any negative effects. Just give it your best.

I have a little one too I did my power meditation as often as I could and apologised to father when I just couldn't find the time, and soon ppl started offering out of the blue to bby sit, it was strange it was like father was trying to help me with time when ever he could. Just try as hard as u can to meditate and I'm sure u will be fine

30 minutes better than nothing. I have small children. When they nap. When they are on a visit.

At night when they sleep. I know that its hard and your tired...but time is there.

I find that doing breathing exercises through out the day (in 10-15 minute increments, when I have can squeeze it in) gives me boosts of energy.Even though I am not a morning person, lol, I am encouraged to do the Five Tibetans. I do it slowly, it takes about 20 minutes to do all of them. After doing them, I have loads of energy.
You can find the Five Tibetans on the Files section in the JoS Yahoo groups.Breathing exercises you can find in the Beginning Meditations in the JoS site.

Thanks a lot you guys, it really made me feel better knowing I'm not the only one with my hands full of kids!

30 minutes is plenty, when me and my partner were working full time with our 1 year old, all I had was a 45 min. Car drive to work to do ez chakra spin, clean aura and chakra chant for the day. Now I do over 2 hours a day thanks to a change in circumstance. The only requisite is consistency.
