That about it, many of these neo-pagans still have the xanity aliment of needing a bible on some level. I have explained that the Eddas where rewritten by a christian monk who admitted he rewrote Loki as a character and tampered with different areas.
I might as well be talking to a wall. If a person is going to put so much stock in a mythological tale like it's a bible. You think they would study it's origins and who wrote it and the context around it.
From what I understand the two major Gods of magic Loki and Wodan where both looked upon as bad and spooky due to the christians by a certain date in the past. The christians declared death on all of Wodan's priests so he would have to be made into evil by xtanity. And not viewed that way by the original Germanic people.

No. Not the original Norse people. It was after 800 BCE and beyond that the Christian attacks on my people and the re-writing of the Eddas by a Christian monk that Loki was turned into "the prince of lies." By the way, Odin is on the list of tricksters too. They don't really trick us, though, but they do have a great sense of humor. Still, neo-pagans would prefer to go with what the re-written shit has to say about Loki. Satan has never confirmed that he is Loki and some ASSHOLES have tried to harass me (which is NOT tolerated) about my Enki/Loki connection. People have been Christianized more than they're willing to admit. Although Satan never confirmed that he really is Loki, he never said that he isn't, either.

I recently found out that Os- the God rune wasn't originally Odin's, but Loki's. I've noticed how quite a bit of Nordic neo-pagans feel hesitant to work with Loki. Gee, I wonder why.

isn't that because the Norse considered Loki to be a trickster and untrustworthy?
