Saivites believe that the goal (the attainment of Siva-nature) does NOT mean the complete merging of the soul in Siva. The liberated soul does NOT loose its' individuality. It continues to exist as a soul in God. This appears to be the oldest branch of philosophy known to mankind. Satan has always told us the truth and continues to do so.

The liberated one is another term for one who has achieved the Great work on themselves. The Siva nature or merging with Siva is an allegory for obtaining the personal Godhead via alchemy of the soul.
