Does anyone know how to find out how many times a rune should be vibrated? I know on the JOS website there are two given as examples, like I think Uruz is based on the number 2...but what about the other runes--what numbers are they based on, or how can I find out? Thanks.

The position of the rune determines how many times they are to be vibrated.

For example the runic positions of the runes Algiz and Sowilo are 15 and 16 therefore you vibrate Algiz 15 times each session and Sowilo 16 times each session.

You can vibrate the runes according to its runic number or a multiple of its runic number.

The runes on the JOS website are already put in order so just count your way down to the rune you want to vibrate :)

The site is:
http://www.runemaker.com/futhark/uruz.shtml

For the rest of the runes, click on the left column and the rest of them will be under "Rune Meanings". This site is good for information but pronounce them using Maxines methods on the JOS.

I thought that might be it but did not know for sure, for instance I own a book of runes that includes on called "Wyrd" but I think it is a modern add-on. Thanks, Tim!
