Question About Position/Angle of Natal Chart Wheel in Astrology

I use a website to get the natal chart wheel done (it's free- alabe.com) but I use the astrology info on JoS to read it. I did my own natal chart a week ago, and I just did one now for my friend, but the wheel is at a different angle. According to research I have done, the 1st house is always Aries, and it is positioned at the left, right below the middle line (I hope you can understand how I'm trying to describe this). The chart for my friend has Aries where the 5th house should be and has Sagittarius in the 1st house position (so all houses are basically moved 4 places counter-clockwise). My question is, is her 1st house actually Sagittarius, or should I just rotate the whole chart (tip my laptop sideways) so Aries is in 1st position? Is this just a mistake, or does the place of birth (Canada for me, Caribbean for her) factor into this? I just need to know where her houses are and what signs rule them so I can read it for her.

Thanks for replying!

No, no... Research? Whatever gave you this idea is totally wrong. The ascendant, which is the sign on the cusp of the first house is determined by the time of birth. This house is the most important in the entire chart as it represents the self. The sign on the cusp has a ruler or in some cases, such as Scorpio, a co-ruler, as Pluto rules Scorpio, and the co-ruler is Mars. Any planets contained within the first house are also co-rulers. When transiting or progressed planets make aspects to the ruler or co-rulers, they bring on events into the life as determined by their natures and also their placements in one's astrology chart, which is individual.

Thank you for replying! In the Azazel's Astrology section in JoS, there's a link for interpreting symbols and chart wheel (http://www.indigoray.net/symbols.html). In the site it lists a "natural" sign for each house, and they matched up with mine, but my friends didn't, so that's where I got lost. Thanks for clarifying!
