What are the effects of Mars transiting the 8th house?

Mars transits only factor in if stationed/retrograding, and a bit if it is a chart ruler. But as Mars is now in Cancer, it's effects are lessened.

But to answer your question, take the nature of the planet, and the nature of the house. 8th, sex and finances, intensity. Mars, energy and motivation, conflict. Joint finances could become problematic, investments might be shaky. But as Mars is weak in Cancer, you will likely not notice anything. Mars in Water sign can increase sex urges, so you might find yourself with more drive than usual.
