Personality and guardian demon

I understood its not necessary to have GD of opposite gender

But in the search of GD ,can we take out personality traits into consideration? I found out there is a demon with whom i share same preferences, or is it just not that important the same way gender isnt that important

Additionally, i found there is 1 difference between us, it is a necessity that the GD matches you 100% sometimes going through the material and trying to understand i find many similarities then i find 1 difference , does it mean its not my GD?

Additionally, i m planning to retry knowing my GD after dedication, if i have a question later can i ask openly and mention the name of the demon i suspect is my GD? I feel he doesnt want that i dont know i even feel he doesnt even want me to share this, but i have to i dont want to end up with my mind being my GD lol

Many things are taken into account when a GD is appointed to you. Personality does play a good role in it from what I've observed among my Brothers and Sisters so far, as well as myself. But that's not the whole story. The GD appointed to you is also the best God/Daemon for your particular situation and person at the time, the one to be the most conducive guide to your highest possible growth and self-realization. They also can change over time.

Rather than purely analytically thinking about it in a left-brained manner, it is beneficial to also meditate on the matter and attempt to establish contact with your GD. Remember, They can hear you even if you can't hear Them or don't even know who They are yet. Simply address your GD telepathically, and ask for guidance in getting to know Them. There are quite a few sermons on this, you can start with this one by HPS Lydia.

Also remember that while the Gods have Their eyes on you already, you are only "officially" appointed a GD after dedication. Sometimes, GD connections follow us through lifetimes too, but that's another topic.
