Use a diabetic lancet from the store. Put this on the side of your finger where the skin is thinner, then push the button. It should cause a bit of blood to appear very quickly.

The amount of blood does not matter as much as the intention, so you can simply wipe this on the paper as your signature, then you are done with this step and don't need to concern yourself further.

I think asking someone to draw the blood for you in advance can invite unnecessary questioning and complications towards yourself and the ritual. It could possibly make you continue to think unnecessarily about the blood, too.

I would focus just on the finger prick itself; you only need to push the button and then wipe the finger on the paper. It should be pretty quick to do.
