Greetings and welcome! Well, my story's pretty prosaic; but basically
in a nutshell, I was never raised xian. My parents pretty much left me
alone to choose my religious path for myself. I flitted round quite a
bit when I was younger (I'm only 25 now, but I was a precocious kid).
Lol. Tried buddhism for a while, but that didn't appeal. Flirted round
the edges of wicca for a while, but that never really went anywhere. I
never made any formal allegiance to their 'goddess'.
I'd never given our Father Satan much of a thought at all, up to that
point. Not being raised in a hardcore, or extreme xian background, he
just never figured into my worldview, so to speak. So it was quite a
surprise that one day, I all of a sudden had a random thought: "Hey!
Why don't I write this really cool novel about these Satanic
teenagers? That would be wicked awesome!" I've been a writer all my
life, you see, so writing was something that I greatly enjoyed. Well,
at that time, I didn't even knowe that Satanism was an established,
valid religion. This is why, in hindsight, I firmly believe that it
was my Father, giving me a bit of a nudge in the right direction.
Since I also loved music, I thought I should put in my story what
these Satanic kids might listen to. Having no clue what that might be,
I typed "Satanic music" into Google, and what do you think was the
first site that came up? The Jos! It was the sub page where it lists
Satanic bands. Being curious, I clicked on the home page, read the
intro, and then I read the Al-Jilwah. The rest, as they say, is
history.
I've been dedicated for three years, and I've never been happier.
Father Satan is so wonderful! He is beautiful, kind and wise. And yes,
I too got the feeling you described, about belonging and knowing it
was right. I took a few months reading all of the Jos site, before
finally dedicating on Beltane night of 2008. I've not looked back
since. I am home, where I belong, at my Father's side. Well, there you
have it...my story. ^ Hail Father Satan always!

Hey all!
I'm fairly new to Satanism, I've been on the Joy of Satan website a few
times now. I first discovered it when looking to summon a demon (I was on a
Supernatural kick, yea I know..) and got to browsing. I haven't gotten a
chance to read it all yet, and learn everything, but I know, somehow, it's
almost like a sense of belonging that I feel in my heart that this is for
me.
I was just curious to hear about your guys' stories about when you first
found Him, if any of you were in roughly the same position as myself and how
it just felt... Right.
