I am really struggling with what to do with my hands during void meditation, or other meditations that don't require a certain mudra's.So I would like to hear what other members do with there hands, and also why.All responses are welcome please.I do understand that different hand positions respond to different energy's in the body, but I have tried many different ones, and am having trouble trying to find the one that is best for me during trance and void meditations.Thank you for all contributions to my question.

For trance I just rest my hands comfortably. But lately for void I've been doing the Pran mudra, for increased energy. I've been feeling quite tired lately (I do know the reason why) and this mudra definitely helps. I start to feel the effects immediately. It's wonderful when you can feel immediate results just from finger positions. And to think, many people think this is bunk.

Yes I agree lydia. That is the one the you use for the Mer-Ka-Bah meditation too.So I think I will start to use it more too.Thank you much for your rapid reply too.And no it is in no way bunk,or I would not be concerned with it.I have been using the basic thumb to the first finger, but even that does't feel right or beneficial.

If I use mudras during meditation, I use dhyana mudra(Meditation seal). Otherwise I rest my arms on my knees, depends on what I feel like. I always use the half lotus pose in seated meditation.

I hope this helps.

Not sure which mudra that is but yes I have always been comfortable with the half lotus too being an older man.

Sorry for the very late reply, lol. The dhyani mudra calms and empties the mind, which makes it pretty ideal for void meditation. This mudra is also depicted being used by many gods, and considered very important. I suggest giving it a try if you haven't already.
