Hello, I'm new in the group.
 
Ok, so I have tried meditating, but don't think I have. I tried once but I fell asleep... made myself a little too comfortable that time. The other times I have tried I wasn't exactly sure "what to do". I asked some of my friends about it or if they knew how, and I got different answers each time, like "you have to clear your mind completely", I've tried that and that just seemed impossible, or maybe I just wasn't trying hard enough. Another thing I heard was so be in complete relaxation, I tried that but that didn't feel right. The last answer I recieved was to relax and that it was like going into the Fade (if no one here play video games the 'Fade" is this place that mages go into in the game Dragon Age, long story sorta), that I have not tried but seems like most correct thing so far.
Any advice, tips, thoughts, anything??^^

Yes I have played dragon age and know about the fade, lol. To get used to meditating just close yours eyes and breath in for a count of six hold for six and breath out for six breaths, for about 5-10 minutes or when you feel relaxed enough. Then just breath normaly/naturaly and keep your eyes closed, do not move the entire time and try not to scratch those itchy spots. Just relax feel and don't try to clear your mind, just enjoy the peace of it. Keep doing this and in about a month it may feel effortless. also to clear your mind sit/stand whatever floats your boat and look at one thing in a room like a knob, pen, or a speck on the wall and stair at it for 5-15 minutes without looking away or moving and think of the "here and now", and when your mind strays off course just picture the image of the "here and now" in your head (this can get very frusterating just keep at it). Again, after a about a month of doing that everyday your mind should be nice and clear when meditating. I suggest going to the power meditations page of JoS and make yourself a "basic meditation pragram."

<td val[/IMG]am not sure people will agree with me, to go into a trance you need to relax ourself thionk of a very good time you had +on a trip ,the beach etc...., should do the trick.
 
Also just visualize FATHER SATAN'S sigil a feeling of calmness should do the trick once you enter into light trance then switch to the falling method.
   Wat works for one person does not work for another.REMEMBER KRY TO A TRANCE IS RELAXATION.

Will these things into existance, such as a clear mind, but do not force it, be confident in it, do not wait to *feel* it, but know that you are doing what you have intended to do. You want to be powerful like the Gods, will the energy to be as powerful as the Gods!!! You need not *feel* this and you may not at first, but that's fine, stay strong, remember, meditation is about intent, not expectation.

<td val[/IMG]I think the problem here is that you're trying too hard and you're too tensed cause you really want to meditate properly, slow down, lay back and just relax. take the advices your friends given ya and put em together. What I mean is, Take a deep breath, feel free from any mental & physical restrictions, try to relax by thinking about pleasant things that can make you calm or whatever other things that will quieten your mind. Most of us here faced the same problem you are facing now when we started here, the important thing is to take it easy. Meditation is hard to get right at the first time, so be patient, even if you can still your mind for only a few seconds it's okay it's good, just keep doing it and before you know it you will be able to do it longer and longer, from seconds to minutes to hours. Hi All,Meditation is become a part of my life. Recently I have noticed that when I meditate and Im in trance I feel sort of hating up sensation down to my spine, I tried to bring this sensation upwards. but I couldn't. Could this be something good or bad, Am I messing up with something in my spine? Hope somebody could tell me what this exactly is. Thanks.
 
Meditation induces a wide variety of sensations including heat, cold, pressure, tingling, feeling like you are glowing, lightness, and many other sensations. As long as something does not feel negative, you are fine.
