Is is acceptable to meditate only 6 out of 7 days in a week? What are some of your meditation routines?

Ideally, one would meditate each and every day. A while ago, I spoke with my own guardian demon about this very thing so I'll pass on what I was told.

One thing to remember is that not every meditation is created equal. By that I mean that some days it may feel very powerful and dramatic and on others not quite so much so. (It does NOT mean, however, that what you think is a less powerful meditation actually lacks power; there are many factors that come into play here, such as your own state of mind, your health, stresses, atmospheric and astrological conditions, and others.)This is natural and is nothing to be concerned about.

Also, there may be times when your meditations may be much longer than at others BUT try to do SOMETHING each day, even if that is just for a few minutes.

You need to do protection exercises daily for one thing; that is a must. As is cleansing, spinning and aligning your chakras and empowering your aura. A few minutes of void meditation never hurts. That sounds like a laundry list, but the whole thing can be done in 5-10 minute TOTAL. I'm speaking here of an "off" day, not your regular meditative routine.

When people ask about this (as I did) it's often because their thought goes something like this:"Oh no, this day is so busy, i feel horrible, and I've still got an hour and a half of meditations to do." So long as those days are not every day, it will happen, and don't beat yourself up about it; just do a few brief moments of cleansing and void meditation.

Also, if your meditation routine is generally becoming burdensome it's almost always because there's something wrong with it and that something is often that we ourselves have made it needlessly complicated or drawn it out over an unrealistically long period of time. If you want to meditate for an hour, two hours -- whatever -- at a time, that is fine, but also keep in mind that 20-30 minutes a day also gets the job successfully done. Or, if you are working on several things that may be unrelated to each other, break up the sessions; 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there, sort of thing.

I hope that helps a little. Also, I have found that sometimes the best thing we can do is to just go back to basics for a few days.

Chakra Activity

Our chakras have hours where they are more active, every day. These correspond to the four cardinal points and the seven days of the week. Many of the old magickal texts mention these in the form of the planets. Each chakra corresponds to a specific planet and day of the week. The times of peak activity are important as we can use these times to meditate or work on a specific chakra or use the energies in rituals. The times listed in table below are of the 24 hour clock. For those of you who unfamiliar with this:

Thanks for doing that, Joann! The way you've set it up people can just print it & keep it for reference.
