So about a month ago i got a loaf of bread from the store and i dont eat alot of sandwiches or do a whole lot with bread for that matter and it doesnt seem to mold or get hard or anything. Can anyone relate to this?

I had a guy at my job, leave a container with 4 slices of bread in it on my desk as a joke. So I put the thing on top of the microwave and left it alone. Every time he came in I would say, "who wants bread?"
Then after about 2 months, we were shocked that it was still looking good. It stayed locked in the container for about 9 months, then in a couple of days it got moldy and went bad.
I bought white bread, from this Cuban supermarket to use for fishing. It was really cheap. No lie, the fish would not eat it.
Fish! Smarter than us. I tossed the rest of the loaf in the water and some ducks came over, ate a bit, then left. Ducks NEVER leave bread.
I am guessing whatever shit they put in there so it doesn't go bad is really nasty.

Hail SATAN!!

Saw dust is the preservative used to keep bread from going moldy, the cheap kind your talking about might be something else the name brand breads use saw dust though.

Ew! Are you serious? I'm gonna start saving up for a bread maker. If I make it, I know what's in it.

Its not the only preservative used or always used but it was pointed out to me once while I was shopping at the grocery store. You could always use a bread pan and bake your own bread in the oven. Next time I go to the grocery store I'll take a look and email you the preservative name I was talking about.

There are ways to know a good Bread to bad, by touching, Knocking and even tasting a Bit,Being Aware of what happens to your Body after eating it etc, Shopping Smart and Added Awareness will solve the Problem.
Like a Good Fresh Natural Breads Outside when knocking (White bread) on the Surface it will sound clearly and means its inside is soft and fresh the outside is crunchy etc, like there are tons of ways to distinguish these, simply learn, research and be aware, Especially you guys in Europe,US etc..There are a LOT of Genetically modified crap foods out there,Marketing and Challengings have transformed to further worsen the product nowadays,But that will be the life of a shortlived bussiness, Be Aware Bros and Sis.

Yuck! I knew I had to be careful of the food I eat, but sawdust in bread??

By the way, make sure to avoid artificial raspberry flavoring. It is made from a very gross part of beaver anatomy. :(
