blind judgment on what they are and are not. Try all you want at

Crowley's whole philosophy was "do what thou wilt", meaning find your
true will or purpose and use every means necessary to achieve it. We
all as Satanists should make that our goal as well.

We all could be some of the blind masses and spiritually dead but we're
not. Father put us here and open our eyes. And we should repay that by
fulfilling his goal for our lives.

As for Crowley's 'Holy Guardian Angel', we need to remember that Crowley
did have a twisted sense of humor and most of his writtings are from a
sarcastic point of view. Its not inconcievable that Crowley called his
shadow self or unconcious a "Holy Guardian Angel' out of irony.

I'm sure all of us can find something useful in Crowley writings. Look
past the 'Jewish gribble' and use of it what you can. Remember we have
to use every tool available to us. We can't allow the enemy's
corruption to take any advantage away from us. And after all, an open
mind is what truly seperates us from our enemy.

crowley, was a human man who was exploring the secrets of the
supernatural the only way he knew how.
i do not think he was christian but nor do i think is any type of
satanist.
i've read about how he summoned a demon and i would say that is not
how we would do it.
nor is it how u should do it.
i'm surprised, he didn't die at that moment.

I am interested in this thread. I have never been into Crowley. I
read some of his writings which IMO are extremely boring. This is
just my own opinion, I am not out to offend anyone here and my own
convictions are use whatever works.

I am interested here for those of you who stand by Crowley, how have
his teachings advanced you? What have you obtained in the way of
power and from your workings? What have you achieved through applying
the teachings of Crowley?

Now, my own opinion and this is just my opinion here is I do admire
Crowley for his pioneering efforts at a time when occult knowledge
was scarce and xianity ruled. He wrote many books.
I was skimming through some of my pdf books the last few nights and
sorting them. I skimmed throough several of Crowley's books and found
many things objectionable.

Much of his teachings focus on jewish mysticism and the jewish
kabalah.
The "yod heh vau heh" this is obvious a hoax given to the public, for
any words with REAL power, one will say them or vibrate them and
seriously *feel* the power. In addition, the 2 H's are off because
the four corners/four elements and four quarters of the soul are all
distinctly different and with the real word of power, all four
letters should be different.

666 has been sadly misinterpreted due to xian stupidity and
corruption of the meaning. All of the occult legends and even the
twisted and corrupted xian book of revelation (which was stolen from
Thoth) focus on an ending. This is not the end of the world, but a
transformation for humanity. This all has to do with the opening of
the soul. We have 555, 666, 777 and 888. Humanity will evolve and
transform spiritually (whoever survives the so-called "apocalypse").

This can be seen in the Enochian tablets which are codes for opening
the soul- the 7x7 chakras. The four quarters within each tablet. As
for the the triple numbers, these are a sequence. Xians are totally
deluded and foolish as they have no idea of the true meaning of the
888, which in the Greek gematria is the witchpower. Thoth, Astaroth
and Sigil of the Beast are all numbered 8. As I have mentioned before-
the nazarene is a code-word for the witch-power, and nothing more.

The jewish kabalah and anything jewish for that matter is filled with
outright lies and corruptions. I have done my studying. Their real
secrets are right before our eyes when we open our souls enough to
see. You won't find any of this in what they make public and on the
internet. Only their high ups know the truth. There is power in the
hexagram when properly used and directed towards specific ends and
aligned with the day, the chakra and the hour.

Now, I did not write this to start an argument. I don't have any time
for that sort of thing anymore. I say use whatever works and to each
his own on this matter. I was just curious as to what any of you have
accomplished using Crowley's teachings.

I've worked with a lot of systems over the years and yours and his
have produced the greatest progress in my magnum opus. I think the
most useful part about Crowley's system or any western hermetic system
is the emphasis it puts upon work. Here's an excerpt from an A.A.
book I've been studying from recently(The Probationer's Handbook: A
Manual Of Instruction for the Student Of The A.A.) that puts it best:

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Now when you apply this formula to magickal practice it produces
amazing result.

As for the formulas steeped in Jewish mumbo-jumbo, that's just the
flavor of the time in my opinion. A paradigm like anything else.
Above all Crowley was a scientist and the systems he uses are fairly
plug and play as long as you can produce results with them. For the
Lesser Rituals of the Pentagram I use different wording, thought-forms
and divinities. The same can apply for the Kaballah. For proof just
look at most Neo-Pagan rituals then look at a Western Hermetic ritual.
It's the same thing with different words and god forms. Remember
this is a science: Alchemy produced Chemistry, Goetia produced Psychology.

The rite of the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel,
or higher genius or what ever you want to call it (hell even Knowledge
and Conversation of the Boogie Man would work), as well the Goetia
provided with it are originated off of an Egyptian system if you look
at the books history provided by the writer. However this could be
very false since it's a major trend in Grimories of that age and even
of this age to provide a "history" of how the book came into being.
Even then the writer admits, even if a fiction, he changed the system
from an Egyptian paradigm to a Jewish one. This shouldn't devalue it
any however since as long as the system works with "whatever"
cosmology you want to use then who cares, good job.

However the things I find have progressed my work the furthest have
been the exercises in Liber E, his discourse on the 8-fold path of
yoga in Magic in Theory and Practice, the cosmology in "The Book of
the Law" and many of the other exercises and works you can dig out of
his dry writing. "The Book of Thoth" is a very useful guide to the
symbolism of the Tarot. "The Book of Lies" is a great mindfuck to
produce quantum thinking. There is much more wheat than chaff in his
writing.

Even getting through his writing is a Gurdjieff exercise in itself.

I'm also not trying to split hairs here but the phrase "Do what thou
Will" means a very different thing that do what you want. A lot of
members of the O.T.O. sufferer from this distinction which makes it
not so desirable to join.
