[Shannon Outlaw]

someone told me that a person isnt jewish unless the mother is. And i told them that either way they are still jewish because of the dna. Is that correct?

Here's my take on it & perhaps others will weigh in here as well.

As I understand it, orthodox jews believe their racial jewishness comes via the mother, the source of almost all mitochondrial DNA.

Nevertheless, although according to the orthodox one is a jew only if one's mother is a jew, I'd think that in reality, according to DNA & probably other genetic markers (I'm not a genetic expert) that the offspring of a jewish sire is half racially jewish. However, the difference (according to them) is that if the mother is jewish then the child is considered to be completely jewish, regardless of the father's race.

I personally would ask, when was this "law" written. Thousands of years ago, before they knew the SLIGHTEST about DNA, it would seem obvious that emerging from a kike makes you a kike. Today, even if a woman's ancestry can be traced many generations as "pure aryan" but get impregnated by a jew, her child is no better than any other jew.
