Is Thoth a god?

I have read and heard much about Thoth. But is he a god?

They said he wrote a book about all knowledge off the world and gave the reader unimaginable power.

That 'book' was carved into two gigantic emerald tablets, of solid emerald. Pure gold writing seemlessly incorporated into the gems. It's where a good deal of the metaphysical knowledge that exists currently comes from. (As an example that rule "As above, so below" or "You get what you think about") Stuff like that. It basically tells you the rules of the universe. (Which helps you learn how to bend them)
