I am new and have a question about rituals

greetings to all! I have performed the dedication ritual at the beginning of this month. I have a question concerning rituals.
I have read on the JOS website that if all you have is your self that is fine by Satan and that he under stands. on the same page during the process of performing a ritual it states at one point to drink from the chalice. I do not have any silver cups/chalices so my only question is do I still have to drink something?
this is what has been holding back. I am a person who does not like to fuck up and fuck around with something that I do not fully understand. I also do not have a bell at them moment.
I should have asked this question earlier but I have always been self reliant and independent by nature I am stubborn. thank you in advance

Yes, you still have to drink something. Not many people can afford or get all of the props/materials they need for a ritual, but that doesn't stop them from doing a ritual. You can use whatever you have, Satan understands. You can also do your rituals in your astral temple.

Just use whatever clean cup you have. Later on you can buy a cup and use that for ritual. Doesn't have to be fancy. Or it could be, up to you. You can use wine, beer (if you are of legal age), or whatever drink you wish. I have used coconut milk or sparkling grape or apple juice sometimes, because I do not drink alcohol often.
