One of our members here posted about biological gardening and ecology.
This is a very important subject and will have importance especially when it comes to restoring our beautiful planet and the humans that inhabit it.
If there are any members here who are gardeners or have an interest in the soil-nutrition connection, this may be of interest.
Everything starts from the soil and the state of our soils and earth determines the health of our bodies. When it comes to gardening and other practices that work the earth, the state of our soil depends on how healthy we are. These are the foundations of building a healthy food paradigm.
When our soil is depleted and infertile is carries on into our food. The plants wont be healthy or nutrient rich, the animals wont be at optimal health and we humans, who eat the plants and animals, will suffer too. This has been especially noted and documented by Dr. Pottenger and Dr. Weston Price.
In this vicious cycle, all living beings will be effected. Crops and plants will be weaker, prone to disease and nutritionally inferior. The animals that eat the crops will be depleted and prone to deficiencies and phsyical defects and so will we. You can see this now when you study how humans have regressed in heaght and physical structure. Look to our bone structures, etc.
Now one wonders, why are disease and defect epidemic more so than ever before? Why is disease rampant among man and animal? As a gardener, I have wondered this for many years. Many of these diseases were not even around decades ago. This trend is growing. This is not normal.
We are so use to disease being so common that it is the norm and we have become use to suffering. All these things can be controlled. When we are deficient in nutrients, our systems are not strong enough and this invites disease and other defects.
Traditional people consumed 10-50 times the amount of vitamins and minerals than we are now consuming.
When we remineralize the soil, add organic matter/compost and healthy microbiota to it, we phenomenally improve the health and genetic structure of our plants and animals and then us. Disease is reversed and we have the raw material and components to be healthier.
Plants that are otherwise known to have little nutrient make up, such as lettuce has been shown to contain 20% protein and be significantly higher in other compounds. The animals that eat these healthy crops are virtually disease free and the people that eat these crops and animals are stronger, long lived and healthy.
In ending this, eating mineral rich and nutrient rich food, even when not organic, has been shown to improve the health tremendously because minerals have antioxidant and protective qualities. For example, the mineral Selenium is a powerful antioxidant, protects the body from toxins, industrial chemicals, heart disease and is anti aging.
Decades of large scale industrial agriculture has depleted the soil to the point where it has insignificant mineral content and some of the soils are imbalanced whereas different minerals balance each other out.
If our soils were healthy, most diseases that plague plants, humans and animals would be non existent because our bodies have the material to protect us from degeneration and human frailty.
