There is also sections on how to do rituals, and you can do these to draw closer to Satan if you like rituals. Otherwise, just focusing on his sigil and talking to him in your mind or quietly out loud (when you have absolute privacy and no one can overhear you) works too.
He hears everything. He will hear you.
Just talk to him about anything you want: your hopes, dreams, goals, how your day went, people in your life, spiritual and mundane topics, etc.
Be sure to do power meditation, once you have dedicated your soul (also on the homepage of the JoS site) and working on your psychic hearing and sight. (In the meditations section.) That way, when Satan responds to you, or speaks to you, you will hear him, or see him and feel him if he wishes.
