A few funny things happened around the time I dedicated, it was the enemy trying to scare/stop me but they failed big time. They tried pretty damn hard too.
For meditating imagine a strong gold shield all around you like it is a big ball you are sitting inside of and tell yourself nothing that means me harm can get through this, only the friends and family of Satan can come in here who wish the best for me.
The more you do it the easier it gets. Dont worry if you can't 'see' the shield, just know the shield is there. If anything weird, scary or freaky happens as you prepare the ritual ignore it and keep going its just enemy trying to stop you. They are terrified of Satan. if little things go wrong don't worry.
Meditation, for power... it's actually quite easy when you get the hang of it. I advise you have dedicated before doing it.
Inhale while imagining white/gold light comming into your body, then as you exhale imagine it expanding and growing stronger, and repeat you can always stop if it gets too strong or you feel a bit dizzy, dont hold your breath too much or try to force it just relax go at your own pace. You can get dizzy if you breathe too deep or hold your breath too much, breath too fast etc when your not used to doing it especially... from an increase in oxygen. You might find some instrumental music soft in the background, some drumming type music or whatever you prefer might help you, sometimes I use music sometimes just silence or I listen to the wind outside. Sometimes I even listen to power metal when I do meditation or techno! Whatever gets you in the mood.
I sometimes try to imagine the sounds of waves breaking on the beach in a rythmic way in time with my breathing. The roar of the waves comming in on the inhale and breaking on the beach as I exhale. Different things work for some people.
Most important once you start you must keep doing it everyday don't miss a day if you feel rushed or tired or not much time even 5 minutes is better than nothing. Results don't come in 5 minutes try and keep a record in a diary as you go.
